Sorting plants for fruit and vegetables and cold stores used for their storage have to be constructed such that they are suitable to prepare the products for sale, which includes the following stages: sorting, cleaning, customising, packaging and storing of the fruit and vegetables. The entire process cycle is implemented in a customised facility, usually a building of sufficient size, which guarantees convenient delivery of goods and performance of the processes. The fruit or vegetable sorting plant area is usually adjusted to a given line and the degree of advancement of individual processes.
Ocmer constructs light steel hall structures and ensures full supervision over each stage of their erection: from the concept and design development to delivery and assembly on a given site. In order to construct our halls, we employ technologies which are easy to implement, effective and guarantee high quality erected facilities.
The facilities to be used as cold stores are provided with stratified wall panels including two linings of steel metal sheet and a structural-insulating core made of hard mineral wool, polyurethane foam or polystyrene foam. They are laid horizontally and fixed directly to the lead-bearing structure frames. In order to fix the panels vertically, an additional supporting structure is required.
While implementing the project (Białośliwska Spółdzielcza Grupa Producentów Owoców – Sadów Krajny), Ocmer was responsible for general contracting for the fruit and vegetable sorting plant erected in Białośliwie. Our company was also responsible for developing the applicable full-discipline construction documentation and obtaining the construction permit.
