The roof supporting structure (framework) is made of cold-formed steel sections to which corrugated sheet panels are mounted. The steel sections are heat galvanized to a total zinc layer thickness of 275 g/m2 (Z-275).
The roof panels have a zinc/aluminium alloy coating on both sides. They are attached using self-tapping screws furnished with neoprene washers to avoid leakage. Filling strips of polyethylene foam are used under the roof panels around the gutter in order to obtain complete sealing.
The roof insulation consists of fibre glass blankets 140 mm thick with U = 0.30 W/m2K coefficient. The insulation blankets are fitted between the roof purlins and the roof panels and are built up as follows:
a) a white vinyl layer with a linen pattern emboss, type CF 305 on the visible side,
b) a fibre glass scrim reinforcement 5 x 5 mm,
c) an aluminium foil as a good moisture and vapour barrier.
To ensure a damp proof layer the seams are sealed using a specially folded and stapled seam. Iso-blocks (19 x 60 x 1000 mm) are placed between the roof insulation blankets and the profiled roof panels at the locations of the girts.
In the roof construction translucent double walled panels are placed. The top sheet is a profiled polyester, opal coloured, sheet, with its shape matching the roof cladding. The second sheet is a clear polycarbonate channel sheet. Both sheets are airtight glued together.
